You are doing a great job. I am trying to motivate our junior school into attempting this sort of project with the littlies. Great to hear junior children celebrating their work. How did you get the ball rolling?

Hi, Maggie:

I enjoyed your story, you are a very creative writer and a wonderful reader. It was so fun to hear you read your story while sitting here in New York City - aren't computers wonderful? Please thank your your teacher and your Mama & Mommy for sending me this link so I could hear the wonderful adventures of Elmo and the Octopus. It is almost summer time, and I look forward to seeing you and Michael soon.

Keep up the good work, Maggie!

Hi Ethan,
The next time you and Jake take a trip to outer space, maybe you could take Ben and Zack with you. They'd love to go! I loved listening to you read your story. I didn't know you had frogs! Maybe we'll see them someday.

I wanted to read your story because I've always wanted to go to Paris. But now I'm not so sure I'd want to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower because I might fall off! If I ever get to go there, I'll be sure to take someone with me who will think as quickly as your mom did to call the hospital to come and save you. I like the way you started out describing a real trip and then used your imagination to tell a story!

What a good idea Henry had to ask the bird to help him! And even though it was too foggy, it was very kind of the bird to try to help. How surprised they both must have been when they woke up in the morning! I have two dogs and was scared when Henry almost got run over and then got lost. But I was glad that your story had a happy ending - Henry was safely home, and both he and the bird had found a new friend in each other.

I love books, too, just like your mom! I think Jane was very clever to figure out how to make a hole in the ship so they could escape. And she must have had lots of fun swimming with the dolphin before they got kidnapped by the pirates. I'm glad you like to write because I think you should make a lot more books!

Olivia, it was so exciting to hear your beautiful voice coming out of my computer. What a disgusting experience for those poor little ducks. Imagine being inside of a cat's stomach with all that other icky stuff. Imagine what that cat's tummy looked like with 2 ducks in it. Very pregnant I would imagine. I was very happy when I heard the ending. I think the cat and the ducks were very relieved. Keep up the good work.

Giday Olivia,

The best part of your story about the evil cat and the 2 ducks was when the evil cat threw up the 2 ducks. I can just imagine what that must have looked like....yucky unlucky ducky!!!! What I REALLY need to know is 2 things.
1. Were the ducks OK ?
2. Did the evil cat ever eat anymore Ducks ?
Please write a sequel to your story so I can find out. I especially need to know if the Ducks are OK !
Oliver ( Our Cat ) once caught a bird but he prefers Friskies Cat Food so he just played with the bird and later I let it go.

What a great story! Usually we don't like it when our cat "Duke" throws up, but if he threw up two lovey ducks, that'd be a different story! We also love the jazzy music you played before and after your story! Made us want to dance! Hope we can hang out together real soon! love, Maggie (and Callie)

Your story was very inventive. I liked the way you read it. The music fit with the poetry very well. They were a very happy collection of your poems. It reflected your good nature, positive attitude and your love of animals.

We look forward to seeing and hearing your next story.

Ariana: Your story was great. We loved your saying something nice about India. And that you spoke loud enough for everyone to hear you.

Please be sure to thank your teacher, Julie, for taking time to do this and thank your Dad for telling us about "Your Story".

I liked the crazy music before you shared your great story. I would have thought that the two ducks would have chased the cat away. He must have been pretty mean. You sounded really cool on my computer. Maybe you can sing your next story?

Maggie,

We loved hearing you reading a story that you wrote yourself. I alm so happy that you like to write.

Elmo must have had such a great swim with the octopus.

Your whole class did a great job telling their stories.

Thanks for reading your story for us to hear it all the way in New Jersey.

Hi Kate,

We enjoyed listening to your story. For a moment, we were very concerned about Kate and Jackson. We were afraid Bob was actually chasing you. It's a good thing it was only make-believe.

We're looking forward to seeing you in July.
